A very sad time indeed... I still can't get over it. To add salt to the wound, MJ's B-day is on the same day with my brother... and we use to dance to his songs at every party. :-(
I'm very sorry to hear that. But wether MJ is alive or not, his music is immortal and will forever be relevant. So keep playing his jams on your brother's birthdays.
