Logo, by Leonardo Wawuti

Morning comes. Welcome to Boston, Spring.

Sunlight filters through my blinds, bright and majestic, soaking the room in radiance. I want to listen to something calm, a slow jam. Something that might even remind me of her. Logo by Leonardo Wawuti comes to mind. It’s the perfect song for the occasion, the perfect song to start this kind of day, in this kind of mood. In his album, Ltrospectivo, it comes on before the intro, a short window into his neo-soul prowess that he more or less keeps under wraps for much of the album. At one minute and 55 seconds, it’s the kind of short and sweet track that can leave you yearning for more. And wonder why the man doesn’t release a full album with just this sort of vibe. Feel the lyrics:

The wind blows and I hear your name
I wander in memories made last night
They are things outside my control
I just hope that later I find you again…

Damn.

Logo...

Amanhece.

Quero ouvir algo que me faz lembrar dela. Logo, do Leonardo Wawuti, vem-me a cabeça. Curtam a letra:

O vento sopra e eu oiço o teu nome
Vagueio em memórias feitas ontem à noite
São coisas fora do meu controle
Só espero que logo eu te encontre...

Sem palavras.
