Caipirinha Lounge Presents: Lusofonia Acústica, Vol. 3

The third edition of the Lusofonia Acústica series is finally available for download. So far it’s the playlist that I’ve had the most fun working on, just because of the sheer quality of music that has been released recently, or that I’ve finally stumbled upon. It was only in these last few months that I found out about talented and unique artists like Thiago Pethit, Tulipa Ruíz, and Tiê, all from Brazil; it was in these last few months that Aline and César released their impressive album A Minha Embala; it was in these last few months that I started listening to the Portuguese Ana Moura’s distinctive voice, got a hold of the cape-verdean Mayra Andrade’s acoustic live recording, and delved deeper into Narf & Manecas Costa’s Guinean-Galician musical union. At the same time I haven’t forgotten about the usual suspects, such as Terrakota, who released a strong album in World Massala, Sara Tavares, and even the Kafala Brothers, who I hadn’t heard in years. So as I said, a huge pleasure this playlist has been. I hope you enjoy it. Below is the order the tracks should be played in; click the picture or the link above to download your copy.
