Hoje em dia quem faz este papel é a Louise Redvers, repórter que não deixa créditos em mãos alheias se formos a julgar por este pequeno podcast. Ela não só fala do eterno trânsito caótico de Luanda, como tambem conta com a participação especial de...Yannick (Afroman). Bons gostos Louise, bons gostos.

The importance of having good music in your car in Luanda

Some few short years ago BBC’s correspondent in Luanda was Lara Pawson, a reporter that I thoroughly enjoyed reading, not just on BBC’s site but also on her personal blog, which sadly is not frequently updated anymore. Today, BBC’s Luanda contact is Louise Redvers, who, if judging by this podcast in which she laments the state of Luanda’s chaotic, mind-boggling traffic, has very good taste in her Angolan hip-hop stars. She features none other than the most popular rapper in Angola, Yannick (Afroman), and even seems to know some of the lyrics. Job well done!

So here’s a friendly word of warning: If you live in Luanda and happen to frequent this website, do fill up your blank CDs with the beautiful songs posted here, because that trip from Talatona to Mutamba is a lot smoother if Nha Sentimento is playing on your car stereo :)
