2010 marked the first time that Galician music graced the Lounge. Prior to last year, I didn't even know that Portuguese and Galician were descendants of the same mother tongue, Galician-Portuguese, nor had I heard the beautiful music coming from that region of Spain. Marvelous musicians such as Uxía and Narf were featured here, as were their groundbreaking collaborations with other Lusophone artists such as Manecas Costa. 2010 marked the year that the Lounge became truly, completely, Lusophone.

Emigrante

2010 foi o primeiro ano em que a música galega fez parte do Lounge. Antes do ano passado, nem sequer sabia que o galego e o português são descendentes da mesma língua mãe, o galego-português, e de tão parecidas que são, ás vezes parecem ser a mesma coisa. Nem nunca tinha ouvido a música cantada nesta língua, a poesia auricular que vem daquela parte de Espanha. Cantores como a Uxía e o Narf ajudaram-me a saír da minha ignorância e passaram a ser destacados neste espaço, assim como as suas constantes colaborações com outros artistas lusófonos, tais como o Manecas Costa. 2010 foi o ano em que o Lounge se tornou verdadeiramente, e completamente, lusófono.
