It’s with great pleasure that I announce a handful of what promise to be insightful interviews coming soon to the Lounge. Four of the most influential lusophone artists of 2009 are coming to share with us a bit of their thoughts and their inspirations: Mano Azagaia, the great Mozambican lyricist, will talk to us about Babalaze (one of my favorite albums of 2009) and the political situation in Mozambique; Buraka Som Sistema's Conductor will tell us about how kuduro is changing dance music worldwide; and Angola’s kid phenomenon CFKappa will be sharing his breakneck jounery through Angola’s underground alternative rap scene. And to top it all off, Lusophone’s most gifted, talented, and notorious hip-hop artist, Valete, will share with us some of his musings on politics, rap, and atheism. Stay tuned!
