Lightsonic, by Groove Armada

Groove Armada, by severine_pics
This is another electrifying song by what is quickly becoming my favorite British musical export. It's been the go-to jam for these balmy Luandan nights, guaranteed to get everyone in the car feeling elated and alive. I think Lightsonic might be even more brilliant than the other Groove Armada song featured here at the Lounge, Superstylin', off their album Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub), and both songs share the same ragga vocalist, MAD. For me, it's the best track on their album Soundboy Rock.

The witty commenter on Last.fm said it best: "I want to marry this song."

Lightsonic

Curiosamente, as duas canções têm a participação do mesmo vocalista ragga, o MAD. Pra mim, é a melhor música do album Soundboy Rock.

Nas palavras de um comentador iluminado no Last.fm: "Quero me casar com esta música."

Friday Night Groove: Superstylin', by Groove Armada

I have a cousin that every Friday on Facebook, withouth fail, posts as her status: "Thank God it's Friday, give thanks that is Friday, let's all have good times this Friday," etc, etc. The status vary only in intensity of said thanks or blessings. Today's was particularly intense. When I have the good luck of being with her on Fridays, I'd get to observe and experience these Friday worships up close. If I was involved in said good times, whether in Luanda or Cape Town, I'd usually play the song below, which was a staple in our outings (I myself found out about this song, and band, from the same friend who gave me Boombox). My cousin was a fan of this song, a proper anthem created by those electronic music geniuses Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from Groove Armada. I forgot to leave her the song before I left.

This is for you and the rest of the crew prima, feliz sexta-feira!

Superstylin'
